With the need to solve imminent challenges faster in the health and life sciences, energy, weather, seismic processing, astronomy, and allied areas; the desire for fast data driven apps and computing remains to be a fundamental ASK! Scalable AI lends a helping hand, but needs higher performing infrastructure to support it. Data and storage technologies, therefore, are increasingly playing a central role in its enablement. Hence, the research and development of new architectures, cutting-edge innovative solutions and standards in the data and storage domain are becoming more demanding.
In line with these changing paradigms in the storage domain, IEEE Bangalore Section in association with IEEE Computer Society Bangalore Chapter and Huawei India as Industry partners is pleased to announce the IEEE Data & Storage Symposium (IEEE DSS) 2021 – Winter Edition on December 1 – 2021; an event connecting technology leaders across various segments of the data management and storage world.
IEEE DSS 2021 – Winter Edition had the following specific tracks on:
- Track 1 : Unlock the power of Big Data with new-age Data Storage Architecture; and storage optimized for processing big data with near data processing, function offloading and pushdown
- Track 2 : Computational architecture with function in hardware, smart NIC and DPUs for extreme low latency data access for HPC and HPDA
- Track 3 : Achieving performance and cost objectives with Data Lakehouse, global namespace
- Track 4 : Efficiencies with virtualized and containerized deployment of storage, dis-aggregated, composable storage architecture
