We are glad to announce the launch of International Conference on Consumer Electronics ICCE-Asia 2017 to key members of the Consumer Electronics and Robotics and Automation community. The 3-day conference will engage through a combination of Deep-dive Tutorials, Key note speeches, Paper presentation tracks, Unique product demonstrations, and lively networking sessions. More details on the conference are in the document at [ ]. Early bird registrations are open, now.

Futuristic challenges emerging in the CE and Robotics industry

The Consumer Electronics and Robotics industries have reinvented themselves time and again. They have been at the forefront of deploying advances in multiple fields, to solve new, and complex problems. For a connected world, what are the new challenges?

  • There is more data where ever we look, and even more where we cannot observe. From our ovens, washing machines, TVs, PCs, and phones to automobiles and the mass-market self-driving cars of the future, every device is listening and storing data. And we need great engineers to understand this data, create actionable and new products and services, with the goal of intelligent living. Will Google TensorFlow help?
  • The concept of microtransactions, along with micro-ownership, anonymity, and non-repudiation, has gained tremendous traction recently. It challenges well-established notions of the financial and consumer/industrial markets, and Blockchain promises to push the boundaries of how consumers would pay for micro services
  • Machine intelligence has grown at a tremendous pace. Where do we stand, and what can Robots do for us?
  • Visual computing technologies are changing the way consumers perceive the reality around us, through Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Photo-realistic generation of images. With increasing computational power of engines like GPUs, what kind of products can be created, and how? The newly standardized Vulkan API from provides a solution.

About the International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE-Asia 2017)

ICCE-Asia 2017, to be held in Bengaluru in October (5-7), will delve into these topics in depth. Tutorial sessions [ ]will be delivered by leaders from Google, Nvidia, Samsung, Qualcomm, AMD, Future Tech Labs, and Prasu. Highly engaging talks by senior industry leaders and technologists are part of the conference program. We will have a few selected start-ups, demonstrating advanced HW and SW technologies and vie for prizes [ ] . Peer reviewed and selected papers will be presented at the conference. Special tracks for Women In Engineering (WIE) is open [ ] . We invite you to be a part of this unique conference and be a part of the innovation culture in the industry.

ICCE-Asia 2017 is organized by IEEE CE Bangalore chapter and RAS Bangalore chapter, supported by IEEE Bangalore section, and IEEE Standards Association. We are grateful to our sponsors Cyient Ltd (Diamond sponsor), and Qualcomm (Platinum sponsor), with additional support from Revvx, Pathpartner.
