Abstract: NI is collaborating with top wireless researchers worldwide & helping them accelerate their research through wireless communication prototyping. The graphical system design approach combines LabVIEW Communications System Design software with the software defined radio (SDR) platform to help researchers innovate faster. Using this approach, engineers can reduce the time from theory to results by testing their designs in a real-world environment.       Speaker bios:

Nitish Sharma is a Sr.Field Technical Consultant for NI India and is a Key Account Manager for space & research customers. He is a Bachelor in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. He started his career in NI as an Applications Engineer and developed expertise in Real-Time Systems & RF Test Systems. He has been engaged with researchers in IISc & ISRO for the past 5 years and has helped them use NI tools for accelerating their research.

Tripuraneni Varun is an RF Specialist with National Instruments. He has worked on various projects with NI’s academic and industry customers in the fields of Wireless communications. Varun graduated from IIT Madras with a Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering, and joined NI as an Applications Engineer in 2011. As an AE he technically supported more than 300 customers, and gave classroom training to more than 80 of them on NI technology. In his current role, he works with key NI India customers like Qualcomm, IITM, IITKGP and IITH, wherein he supports RF Test, Measurement and SDR based research applications.
